Eat my s**t is no longer a humiliating statement used by teenagers in high schools. The Sweedish beer company Nya Carnegiebryggeriet (New Carnegie Brewery) invented a unique beer that is made of sewage water (aka poop and pee water). That’s right, the new poop water beer is so popular that it can destroy Heineken and other popular beer brands one day.
Why Create Poop Water Beer?
According to the Nya Carnegiebryggeriet team, the purpose of using sewage water is to show people that perfectly treated water is safe to consume. The beer is so clean that one will not be able to taste that the product contains treated sewage water.
One Step Towards Sustainable Fresh Water
There is something more than just a great marketing approach behind the Nya Carnegiebryggeriet beer brand. In collaboration with the Swedish Environmental Research Institute, the wastewater beer company is working on a sustainable water solution. This solution will likely dominate across other food and beverage companies. No longer will humanity consider recycled poop water beer disgusting. With time, we might even consider it normal.
Poop Water Beer Rated Better Than Heineken
It seems like there is more to the Nya Carnegiebryggeriet than just the fact mentioned above. The beer fans at Untappd rated the Nya Carnegiebryggeriet 3.34 stars out of 5 stars. This number of voters exceeded 106,000 people by now.
Despite being a popular beer, Heineken only gets 2.92 stars out of 5 stars, according to the same website that rated Nya Carnegiebryggeriet 3.34 stars. These results are quite shocking.
Beer “Drink Urine” Is on the Market Soon
It appears that drinking urine is nothing new. In fact, people in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome commonly practiced drinking unfiltered urine. Moreover, some of today’s doctors (who practice traditional medicine) prescribe urine to their patients, as they believe that drinking pee can help solve different physical ailments.
I personally will not bat an eyelash if, one day, another beer brand shows up with a new concoction of urine, barley, hops, and yeast. Let’s just hope that it is safe to drink.
