There’s a crypto token out there for everything imaginable. Yet, no one saw this coming. Recently, the LGBT Foundation announced they would launch their very own digital token using blockchain technology. Believe it or not, this is not some marketing stunt. Minority communities all over the world are following the crypto trend and they have a good reason for it.

LGBT COMMUNITY WANTS TO END HATE WITH BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY

According to the LGBT Foundation, they believe launching their own digital token will help support the community and end suffering around the world. Using blockchain technology, the foundation will set their own coins for transactional purposes. The benefit of these transactions is that they can be traded openly and freely online. Hence, offering greater liquidity to investors compared to traditional investments. Furthermore, blockchain technology allows unique brands to offer serviced targeted to members of the LGBT cmmunity. This helps the community avoid discrimination and helps brands learn more about this demographic.

LGBT ACTIVISM ON TEH RISE THANKS TO BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY

Besides supporting LGBT run businesses and consumers, the foundation wants to use blockchain technology raise enough funds so they can operate independently and put their activism goals into action. Essentially, they want to create a funding mechanism out of their token. That being said, this idea is still in its early stages. Failure is a possibility but there is another option for minorities to accomplish these same goals using blockchain technology.

BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY CROWDFUNDING PLATFORMS TO HELP LGBT

There’s nothing wrong with asking for help right? Hence, if the LGBT foundation fails in their own ICO, then they can enlist some outside help. Thanks to blockchain crowdfunding platforms (i.e. YouToken) it’s easy to connect directly with investors who support your idea, cause or project. So keep that in mind. You don’t have to be a large organization to start your own ICO. It’s possible to do it with just your intelligence, hard work and a little outside help.
