Bernie Sanders and Communism: 5 things you didn’t know

Bernie Sanders is one of the few publicly open communists. Known as “America’s Greatest Marxist” Bernie gained popularity in the circles of Russian communists. The following is the list of 5 things you might not know about Sanders.

Number 1: Democrats Hated Bernie Sanders

Liberal Democrats considered Bernie a traitor who “bashed the barons of Wall Street” and fought against the “true” democracy founded by true democrats.

Number 2: Portrait of Debs

As a true communist-socialist, Bernie Sanders has a portrait of Debs in his Senate office.

Number 3: Liberty Union Party

In the early 70th, Sanders founded the Liberty Union Party that was meant to nationalize all U.S. banks and takeover all private utility companies.

Number 4: Back in the USSR

In search of inspiration, Bernie took several historic trips to such communist countries as USSR, Cuba, and Nicaragua. 

Number 5: “Heroic Revolution”

In 1985, Sanders went to Managua to celebrate the “heroic revolution”, the rise to power of the Marxist-Leninist Sandinista government. 

So, what is communism and why is it dangerous? 

Communism doesn’t value creativity, it imposes collectivization and gives people no rights. People are not motivated to work hard. They remain in the constant state of stagnation and opposition toward imperialism.
